Bach Ma National Park (Hue) receives the highest rainfall in the country – close to 8,000 mm a year – feeding dense subtropical forest, the 300 m Do Quyen waterfall and the 1,450 m Vong Hai Dai lookout over Tam Giang lagoon. The summit road is an old French asphalt line linked by short trails; the March–August dry season is the only sensible time to go.
