Ta Xua (Bac Yen, Son La) is famous for the sea of clouds that rolls beneath your feet from November to March. Trails follow narrow ridgelines – most famously the 'dinosaur spine' at Hang Dong – with drops on both sides and ancient Shan Tuyet tea forests below. Elevations run 1,500–2,865 m and winter nights fall below 5 °C. Ideal terrain for fast hiking and technical ridge running.
